iPhone 13 Pro vs 12

Supercharge your business with the new iPhone 13 Pro!

The eagerly anticipated iPhone 13 range was launched last month, introducing four new and improved handsets to the world, the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max, all promising to be a pro for your business needs.

Boasting superfast 5G and a powerful A15 Bionic chip powered by a huge leap in battery life, this handset is one to be considered for your next work phone... but has much changed since last year?

At the top end of the new range is the iPhone 13 Pro, a new and improved version of the iPhone 12 Pro from 2020, sticking to the same SIM free starting price of £949. With much of the technical specifications remaining the same as last year, shelled with a surgical-grade stainless steel, Ceramic Shield available in four colours and marked with an industry-leading IP68 water resistance rating, it is clear that Apple’s focus has been in improving the outer shell and speed of performance for 2021. Find out the details below.

Super Retina XDR OLED display with ProMotion

Both handsets have a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, perfect for catching up with emails on the go or making those last minute changes to a presentation.  The main change in the display is the adoption of ProMotion, a technology that uses an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz to  as low as 10Hz. This means that it decreases refreshes to save power or raise it for more responsive graphics. You may also spot that the infamous notch on the top of the screen is now 20% smaller according to Apple, this applies to all the new Apple flagship devices for 2021 and may be good news to users who like to work in full screen mode.

Increased battery life

The most noticeable improvement to the hardware is the introduction of 1T of storage to the 2021 iPhone 13 Pro models being sure to provide more space to store your photos, videos, Business files and important apps. Alongside this is an increased battery life from 9:06 hours to an impressive 11:42, meaning the days of being caught off guard with a low battery during the working day are far behind you. With this increased battery life comes an increase in weight, with the new handsets being roughly half an ounce heavier than their predecessors.

Enough Camera Lenses to suit all photographers

Here at CAN solutions, we know that it’s not all work and no play, so it’s important to mention the dramatically more powerful camera system! Even though the number of lenses has not changed, the main sensor is bigger on the iPhone 13 Pro for better low light images, while the ultra wide angle lens has a wider f/1.8 aperture (It was f/2.4 on the iPhone 12 Pro model) resulting in brighter and sharper images - perfect those holiday memories!

Users can enjoy 22 hours’ worth of video playback and a 6x optical zoom range, meaning it will be hard for users to get bored of capturing photographs and 4k videos across a variety of groundbreaking settings, including low light night mode and time-lapse to name a few.
